The Destruction Of Cell Phones

If you take a moment to observe others around you, you will discover that most people are engaged in talking, texting, or web browsing on their cell phones. This not only includes teenagers but adults and children too. It seems that cell phones have become more than a social status now. They are apart of everyone’s daily lives and most people could not live without them. When the cell phone was invented, the main purpose of it was to make communication easier between others and most importantly families. However, cell phones do make our lives much more convenient, but they are beginning to destroy relationships among family members.

In America, the cell phone is one of the most common technological devices found in homes. Most of the family members have one besides the small children. The usage of these devices is so frequent that families cannot even sit and have dinner together without being interrupted by their phones. Cell phones have encouraged or even have taught individuals to communicate all the time. This problem could lead to irritations and disrespect in families. For instance, if a parent is trying to have a personal, important conversation with their child, their kid is more than likely messing with their phone and not listening. Even though cells were invented to make communication easier, it has lead to making interactions between families more difficult. Thus, these inventions were intended for good, but unfortunately they have done just the opposite in the American home today.
